Sharing Books
Sharing books is the concept basically related to linguistic subjects like English and Nepali. Sharing books help students to enhance their language skills like speaking and reading and interpreting skills. The students have to buy a comic or novel and short story from the market and read at home. After finishing books, they exchange their books with each other and share their knowledge in the class. This project is linked with English subject of Grade 4, 5 and 6 to develop four skills of language i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Outcomes- at the end of the
activity the students will be able to (Write in terms of Knowledge and Skills):
  • Read the books confidently in front of the class
  • Learn to tell and write the summary of the book i.e. book review.
  • Collect more vocabulary and improve English and Nepali language reading and writing skills.
  • Collect information about the reading culture and library etiquette of different countries.

Brief and clear description of Activity that will help in attaining the projected learning outcomes (at least one activity for each learning outcome)
  • Orientation to the students about project and time by the teachers.
  • Collect the books from the library and read them individually and thoroughly at home and share the books with others after completing.
  • Organize ‘Book Talk’ programme in the class and also in the school and assess their speaking and reading skills.
  • Teach them how to write summary of the books
  • Conduct book reading competition.
  • Conduct ‘Book Review’ programme and evaluate their writing and use of vocabs.
  • Explore the reading habits and library etiquette of different countries through internet and collect some videos.
