International Policy
Background
Kashyap
Vidyapeeth believes that the international collaboration in teacher’s learning
process gives children and young people the opportunity to develop critical
thinking about complex global issues in the space of their classroom. It
enables school to offer to students a range of opportunity to understand
complex interdependencies in the global economy and celebrate the rich and
diverse heritage of the different part of the world.
Goals:
To
enable pupils to develop the knowledge skills and values needed for securing a
just and sustainable world in which all may fulfill their potential.
Objectives:

To work towards achieving and maintaining the
international school award.

To develop global learning and create inclusion of
international focus in school curriculum through: Email and internet projects
including video conferencing.

Exchange hard copies of projects reports and hand
written letters.

Interaction with visitors from other countries.

Encouragement towards improving communication skill
through collaborating with international schools.

Regular celebration of our rich and diverse heritage.

The projects sharing on British council’s website
‘schools online’.

Welcome to our school teachers and pupils from other
countries.
·
Raise awareness of environment issues other than those
in our locality through joint projects.
·
Encourage interest and motivation through the
provision of first hand experiences of life in another country.
·
Promote communication through writing letters and
emails to friends abroad.
·
Provide staff with opportunities to compare different
teaching and learning patterns.
·
Raise awareness and appreciation of other environments
and what is happening in the world.
·
Develop cross-curricular activities with an
international theme for all children.
Evaluation
This
policy will be continually evaluated as part of the annual review process of
SMC and PTA. A statement of evaluation will also appear in our annual School
Development Plan.
